You know, I just realized I should be surprised to remember that The Internet Archive hasn't become totally dead. It's like the timeline where its end was imminent was just cut off. Like the continuum decided that track shouldn't progress any more.

I have to await the passing of 12 months once every year to get the next release on the Doomsday Clock - my best source for a bit of sophisticated reading. Even though the article in it is always real and terrifying. It's just the best web article for easy reading now.

I don't know what it is, but these days when I see an online article - even though I know I'm still capable of finishing entire 350-page books - my eyes just get clogged when I try to read long text on the web. It's like trying to sort coloured seeds while a bunch of hairs keep sticking in my eyes.

It's amazing how bad lead is. It must be a stroke of good fortune that I didn't ever find out how dangerous this metal was until honestly really late into my life. Maybe something will be done about OS-integrated spyware next.
