oh yeah im not a stancilite on this, i just think that a bad media environment caused biden to be much more hurt on the issue than he might otherwise have been (and a better media environment might make Trump even more unpopular on this issue)

i don't think that the media had no relevance- but convincing people that things are bad when they're actually good, relative to the rest of the world, but still hard for plenty of people is much, much easier than convincing people that things are good when they're actually bad
