I think I found a bunch of scraps of solid walnut planks. I wasn’t sure about how it would carve at first but if I watch the grain I can get some great marks #printmaking #woodblock #woodcut #clouds

The up side of having to spend all weekend organizing the garage is realizing you’ve been sitting on perfect wood for making frames this whole time. I can’t wait to have my own shadow frames so I stop having to glue foam core strips to space the mat away from the glass. #art #framing #nicheaf

I love my flexcut, in particular I prefer the small v gouge. I’ve opted to wrap the parts of the shaft that put pressure on with tape so it doesn’t dig into my fingertips. And I wrapped washi tape over the handle so it’s easy for me to see which one I’m grabbing.

I feel like it’s time to dig this woodblock back out. I started this a couple years ago and have changed it and mulled over on and off. We’ll see where it ends up going. #printmaking #blockprinting #woodcut #printsky #appalachia #redneck #solidarity #resistance

I did it! The IG Exodus is complete for me. Any time I submit work to things IG is always asked for, so instead of deleting my account I just scrubbed my profile. It didn’t take nearly as long as I thought it would. #instagram #IGexodus

In honor of the Lunar New year and entering the year of the snake, here is a snake altar cloth printed with a lino block I did last year. I think since it’s the year of the wood snake it’s only fitting that I start a snake woodblock soon. #lino #printmaking #woodcut #art #yearofthesnake

realized after I already started carving that I wanted to ink this and add a skull. I like to draw with sharpened sticks, it’s the cheapest dip pen I can find and I like the organic look it makes. #linoblock #printmaking
