More people need to understand that saying only “criminals” should be subjected to expanding state violence around us is what led to the broader public being targeted by it, too. Criminality is subjective, and power determines what it is or is not.

Many years ago, Zohran attended a few meetings of Survived and Punished NY. When we launched our #FreeThemAll campaign to free people in women's prisons who were incarcerated for defending themselves against DV/SA, Zohran who was then working on Cynthia Nixon's campaign got us on her radar.

Fair housing protections help ensure everyone has the freedom to live in a safe & stable home, no matter our differences. But tenant screening companies provide discriminatory data to landlords who then deny tenants housing. NHLP's Eric Dunn talked to @shelterforce.bsky.social about this issue.

Look, don't call it an endorsement, the New York Times editorial board is just saying it would be wayyyy better to vote for someone whose resignation the paper called for a few years ago than it would be to vote for the guy who wants to tax rich people.

The NY Times Isn’t Endorsing Cuomo—They’re Just Telling You to Vote for Him
The paper that doesn’t make local endorsements makes a very weird and tortured non-endorsement.

we have an elite impunity problem and a lot of the people and institutions that nominally oppose Trump will burn down their own before admitting that this helped produce him
I've said it many times before and Andrew Cuomo is making me say it again: we don't have a cancellation problem. We have never had a cancellation problem. To the contrary, we have a problem that "disgrace" is a very temporary embarrassment— an brief entr'acte more than an intermission.
