What are the best <banned> books that need to show up on the shelf of a 13 year old? We did 1984 and she was a little 'meh' on all the sex content. Many of the ones I've read (e.g. Beloved) might be a little too much at this age.

Book recommendation of the week: Word Slut- a feminist guide to taking back the English Language. For those of us who have tried desperately to "talk like a man" at work and to realize we are part of the problem.
