Life doesn't automatically hand us joy. We must make space for it, create it, chase it. This summer, I wake early and drive hours to hike to waterfalls across Georgia. It's hot & humid at 8am. I watch for snakes and bears. But nature is medicine. And, man, is it healing my heart. #hiking #waterfall.

I'm forever ruined. No futurist series will ever come close to Octavia Butler's 'Lilith's Brood' trilogy. I'm halfway through the 2nd book, and I love it even more than "Parable of the Sower". Masterful exploration of what humanity is and isn't. #afrofuturism #octaviabutler #scifi #booksky
