I joke that I live in my Christmas tree during this time of year.

Hear me out… buy some of these. Either distribute 10 to the group or 10 each. Give them all silly aristocratic names - Lord Gonzo of Frogmore, etc. Points for the funniest or best fit to some theme. And then some kind of silly race or who can make them jump onto the gingerbread roof or whatnot.

As a 17yo evangelical kid, this pushed my delicate sensibilities (language & sex mostly). But it provided a hilarious & unexpected reinterpretation of scripture with characters behaving like actual people for better and worse - David never forgiving God, Solomon being a moron.

Staying at my folks’ house while in town for a wedding (they are out of the country, as per uzhe)… and these were my food storage options. Nothing bigger han a large single serving. And I searched every cabinet. Half of them are missing the lid or the container. How do they live like this!?

I am still mad The Class didn’t make it, and that the only person I’ve met who has seen is the roommate I lived with when it was on. Such an all star cast.

When I ordered, I was expecting this to be the cucumber salt version (which is refreshing), but this was a delightful surprise. Not too fruity, just a touch of watermelon. An excellent summer beer, if that’s your thing.

Got to the end of this today at the best / worst moment… while driving through the city where I went to Baptist college… on my way home from a funeral attended by people I love… whose beliefs are still way closer to Pastor Jack’s than I will ever understand… or know how to forgive.

What a fun night with my bestie (not pictured). He covered TB, Taylor Swift, cow udders, dissing Percy Shelley, and the preeminent theologian Timothée Chalamet. And we sang “We’re Here Because We’re Here,” which is the closest thing to church congregation singing I’ve experienced in a long time.

Tonight I made protein muffins that are actually pretty good as far as semi-healthy treats go. A nice way to end the day… especially after it started with an 8am dentist appt only to be told my insurance had lapsed (it hasn’t and it’s resolved, but I still had to reschedule).
