Sorry for being late on this. The racism from Greater Manchester Police is utterly unacceptable and they need to be held accountable. We must stand in solidarity with the romany gypsy traveller communities and their children and young people. #Anti-Racism

Yesterday Greater Manchester Police used dispersal powers to force young people onto random trains anywhere out of the city. A news report says this was "youths gathering to cause trouble". In fact all were profiled as members of Traveller and Gypsy communities.

This is police racism

The order, signed by a senior police officer at 12.13pm today, gives Greater Manchester Police extra powers to tell people to leave the city and lock them up if they refuse

Today is international children's day. We need to develop a CJS that really listens & hears children, acts on their experiences & needs, & treats children as children. Let's create a system that supports a child's to believe in & see a positive future with hopes and aspirations.
