Unreal tip: If you're using time dilation in your game to allow for changing of time speed, such as tycoon games or simulations, using a timeline instead of a delay with the length of your delay will ensure that it won't be affected by the speed of the game!

Actually crazy how well this worked! NPCs now grab cans from the machine based on what they buy, consume them, and then proceed to litter, which can even be cleaned. Now to add a bin to bring order to this chaos. #ue5 #indiedev

Unreal UI tip: If you're making a list of items with thumbnails, always soft reference the images and then you don't even need to load them, just use the handy "Set Brush From Soft Texture" and it'll load it and everything for you! #ue5 #ue4

A really cheap and aesthetically pleasing way to dissolve meshes in UE5. The material isn't even masked by default, instead, a masked version is created in realtime when removing the item! Garbage collection then cleans up after you :)

Very happy with my top bar menu in UE5, it just appears as a simple bar that fills up with progression, but hovering over it shows you a bunch of buttons and acts as a menu! Non-intrusive yet sleek and useful :) #indiedev
