if you like the character then cosplay the character

as a cosplayer what matters is you don't do yellow or black face. the cosplay community has worked incredibly hard to make it so that as long as you aren't offensive, you can cosplay anyone. There will always be some people who are shitty, esp to poc. but cosplay is for everyone
