(the vectors)

when i started this collage, i had just finished watching The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity, and it just reminded me of all the things that I like about rom-com animes... specifically how they convey feeling and emotions visually and musically

this was interesting to make, since it was essentially just framing different parts of the collage. like using a camera.

one of the reasons i started to make collages is to push myself out of the comfort of minimalism and to improve my composition skill

i feel like both of those things have improved, but it never gets easier tbh.. i'm humbled everytime 🤕

this is one of the few pieces i've made that i feel represents where i'm at in this "artist journey" i'm on atm.

it's been fun to push myself and explore new ideas, but it's also incredibly isolating and lonely at times.

sometimes i feel lost, but it always works out in the end.

i was supposed to go to bed a couple hours ago.. but when i looked over the progress i made on my collage today in outline view, i thought the lines from the vectors were kinda cool 🤔

i image traced them, got a lil carried away with type and w/e else, and ended up with this

i'm ngl, i am too lazy to post on this platform anymore lmao

which sucks cause i appreciate what it's trying to do in the midst of social media

and of course, appeasing the algorithm on other sites would probably help, but that’s a whole other thing on its own
