Sen. Van Hollen: "I think Americans are tired of elected officials or politicians who are all finger to the wind...Anybody who can't stand up for the Constitution and the right of due process doesn't deserve to lead."

Unbelievable news.

Pancreatic is one of the deadliest cancers.

New paper shows personalized mRNA vaccines can induce durable T cells that attack pancreatic cancer, with 75% of patients cancer free at three years—far, far better than standard of care.

The next time an any critical ATC airport infrastructure goes down? Elon Musk & Trump did that.

I don’t count on corporations to save us, but: At some point, the belief that Trump has made flying too dangerous to chance it will eventually start to affect the airlines’ bottom lines enough that they’ll have to start pushing back - when they do, do they have legal recourse?
Folks, Elon's taking over air traffic control

As a former Senate staffer, I can confirm that calling your elected officials is *the* best way to get their attention.

They may not care much about tweets and insults, but they care what their constituents think. And they care if you call their office.

This is the most obvious point, but it's still important to note: The first weeks of Trump II have completely exposed deep Republican hypocrisy on a whole host of issues including global elites, unelected bureaucrats, respect for law enforcement, "the swamp," and even email server security.

Incredible to think how hard Merrick Garland worked for four years to avoid even the remotest appearance of partisanship or ideological commitments, and literally on her first day as AG Pam Bondi is like "Diversity is now illegal, we will be putting all the libs in prison"
Breaking from me and @mjsdc.bsky.social : Newly installed AG Pam Bondi sent out more than a dozen memos in a 15 minute period on Wednesday. One of them told staffers to come up with "proposals for criminal investigations" of large companies that have DEIA initiatives. slate.com/news-and-pol...

Instead of just laying down and accepting Donald Trump and Elon Musk's framing, these two *VeRy SmArT* strategists could have made the argument that American soft power, including programs like PEPFAR, have saved millions of lives and proven that America can Do Big Things Well.

Alas.

I'm sorry, but "they took over the whole federal payments system, fired the career staff, and won't let anybody see what they're doing" is not a situation in which you wait for more information. It's a situation in which you assume the worst. There's no explanation for it other than rampant crimes.
