things were going too well and the shoe is finally dropping with my car needing a ton of expensive repairs (+will probably need to end up getting a new one) on top of finding out i may not be able to move out this weekend/have to find a new place

An eldritch horror take on the Arcane Herald, heavily inspired by the Moder from The Ritual (2017). Their are on all fours, long limbs and hands with the swirled musculature of the original Arcane Herald. Spikes embedded into their spine are held in by bolts and scars extend out from them. They have an additional set of arms attached to their head like antlers, holding up the Hexcore. Another set extends from their face. They have long hair that extends to their bent elbow. A glowing ring of runes circles their head and their eye glows amber from a recess in their face. The colors are inspired by the Arcane Herald, purples and gold detailing with dark brown hair and blonde tips. The needling voice slipping between the folds of her brain questioning her every move, her every decision, finally has no more to say. She is grateful for this last moment of peace, a reprieve from the chaos she has been unable to escape. She stands on the edge of her old apartment’s balcony, the blasted chunks of concrete and gnarled metalwork creating a twisted frame of the scene. They never got around to fixing it. And eventually, after Jay and Hextech gained notoriety, many came to view it as some sort of twisted memorial, leaving flowers, notes and candles. As though someone died here. All the offerings seem fitting now. Her curls softly dance in the breeze, hands clenching and unclenching by her sides. Her tongue worries the gap between her front teeth. She thought she’d be more nervous. Sweat forming along her forehead, body trembling from the weight of what she’s about to do. But all she feels is calm. Knowing that she doesn’t have to face another day of being Piltover’s Golden Girl. Another day of fake smiles, handshakes and words that mean nothing. At her (continued in next image) Screenshot of a document with the following text: life’s work being turned into some sort of cash cow for Piltover’s elite. This feels like taking control back. She reaches into her pocket and retrieves what started all of this. A round blue sphere, humming with a power yet to be discovered, yet to be harnessed. She holds it up so the light of the moon phases through it, rays of blue cool on her warm, dark skin. She used to think she was chosen. That she was special. That the mage who saved her and her mother’s lives saw something in Jay. That Jay could bring magic to the world. “You picked the wrong person, ” she whispers into the night. She grips the sphere in her fist and directs her body forward, her feet scuffling closer and closer to the edge, the wind picking up as though it knows what is about to unfold. Just as Jay begins to feel a slight hiccup in her chest from the beginning of her freefall, an explosion startles her back into balance on the ledge. The aftermath is familiar, a cloud of glitter and smoke is slowly fading from within the depths of Zaun. Even from this distance Jay can see the way the air continues to spark, electric currents still live and hungry. The hairs on her arms raise, reacting before the connection makes it to her brain.
