▪️ every job not created, every investment withheld, every percentage point sliced off of the GDP, every food bill that’s been nudged upwards - stems from the single policy that Farage spent half his life evangelising.

Movie you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Stars (Wars nor Trek), LOTR, or Marvel, Disney Animated or Pixar.

Finally watched Tron: Ares, recently. It's... not bad actually. Pretty good soundtrack, pretty good cast, despite the distraction of Leto(dude's still a really good actor, despite his rep). Effects great. Although some egregious product placement had me yelling, "Oh, fuck off!"

Another Trek movie project!
With the Paramount regime change, it could be serious this time... Or not 🖖

The good news?

John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves) will write and direct a movie that is said to be unconnected from anything previously done. 🙏

So: Predator:Badlands. Good movie. Really good. Liked the dynamic between the main trio(am a bit of a sucker for the Found Family trope). Action was solid, and importantly, you could follow what was going on. Some great humour, as well. Can recommend!

The UK far right teases this, as well. And a lot of social media. All to feed into and enable the power fantasy of "owning the libs"
"American law exists to create a condition of constant titillation for people whose material needs are never unmet, but whose appetites have been teased into a state of ungovernable sadism by sloganeering and advertising that promises a return to a world that never existed and never will."

This tweet has been doing the rounds on Twitter now that Nathan Gill has pleaded guilty.

If only someone had tried to investigate UKIP & Russian interference 🧐

There’s another timeline where the Guardian supported me, doubled down on the investigation & I look 5 years younger ..

This is also the reason why blue check right-wingers on X spend so much energy spitting venom at BlueSky & its users... The truth is, their power depends on people believing they have no where else to go...
Give them good options!
Do it right and a shit-ton of people will move & support you!
BlueSky shows that if you offer up a reasonable alternative to a toxic App, a sustainable audience will migrate and stick with you through the growing pains.
We need to start doing this for EVERY compromised App, from TikTok to Facebook.
And I think UK/Europe should be doing this ASAP together.

Goodnight, I’m hoping to wake up to a slew of posts from anti-woke “comedians” who have spent years complaining about cancel culture and the oppression of free speech, defending Kimmel and condemning the F.C.C.

Unless it was only an issue when you wanted to make jokes about the trans community?

the kimmel thing is bad but as long as they arent rounding people up indiscriminately based on race, building concentration camps and talking about eradicating those they deem sexual deviants, i think we’ll be ok
