I agree with your points here. My comment was mostly directed at the player. Just seems like a new model for poor player/agent behavior.

Matt, quick roster question for you. Since Fall and Sang Bin Jeong are U22s does that pretty much lock us in to sticking with the Two DP Four U22 model for second half of season? Barring possibly buying one of them down with GAM? Not that I think we are going to sign a DP in this window but…

Not that different than any other similar tournament, champions League, CCC, etc. Previous year qualification setup rewards clubs who perform well over long period of time. I’m ok with it. Worst part for me personally is, like CCC, it works against MLS chances even more so because of salary cap.

I believe the roster is good enough to win if they get a little healthier. The biggest issue is a complete collapse of confidence. You could see a glimmer of it return after the first goal against MN in Open Cup. Then of course is was destroyed further by the gut wrenching eventual loss.

So glad to have Totland back!!! Amazing that Guald and Nelson have been out and they are still playing that well.

That’s a fair point. But my next favorite sports are college football, college basketball and NFL and they fit nicely for me outside of MLS schedule. I don’t want my Saturdays to have to be shared between college football and MLS.

I think this is a terrible idea myself. Main two reasons being weather and competition from other sports.
