Games, eh? The Day 3 theme for #MuseumWeek2025. So, this morning @colleenwood.bsky.social and @woodac.bsky.social decided to play charades. We got as far as "Two Words - Title - First Word".

After that, it went quickly downhill and ended in hysterics! 🏛️📅

Ammonites were abundant in the seas during the Jurassic Period. Ammonites are shelled cephalopods, a class of marine animals that include octopuses, squid, cuttlefishes and nautiluses. Ammonites have retractable tentacles for catching small prey, although some species filter-fed for small plankton.

BREAKING — Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) staffers who were put on admin leave on Monday just got letters letting them know they’re a part of a Reduction in Force (RIF) and that their job will be “abolished” effective May 4th in accordance with Trump’s EO, per copy reviewed by me.

These funds are mostly used TO PAY PEOPLE’S SALARIES, often people hired specifically for the short-term projects funded by the agency. Suddenly refusing to pay these already-awarded funds means putting thousands of people out of work.
