Well... that was certainly an experience. I'm through the worst of it now and reestablishing some sense of normalcy which will hopefully come with more spoons. It's bizarre how my ability to draw simply ✨disappears✨ while under duress, but I look forward to regaining that as well. Onward!

First attack of the year for @kepesk.art !! I know he's generally a friendly dragon, but I've had this composition in my head forever and I needed a red derg for it 😭 Hope you don't mind the grouchy face! (also I'm one step closer to figuring out scales, I think?)

This weekend's project was another pass at fur grooming with geometry nodes in #Blender. It's so difficult to get the fur smooth instead of choppy x.x And there are weirdly few tutorials on best practices for grooming. Still, I think this came out better than my last try!

Was learning Substance mid-project A Choice™? Yes it was, but look at this texture!! This would have been SO HARD in Blender?? Also I can re-use some of the assets for his wings 😁 Overall I am very pleased with this new tool in my toolbox

Evening project for the last couple days has been attempting to figure out HOW ON EARTH to render fur. I think I figured it out for short, fairly consistent fur? Now onto longer stuff 🫠 (why is this so hard for my brain LOL)

I'm continuing to play around with matte shading in Krita. I'm planning on making a video of how to do this because it's quite simple (whole drawing took maybe 3 or 4 hrs?). Interestingly, Krita has some better quality of life tools than my various paid software.
