Herbivorize Predators is a research organization with the goal of abolishing predation through turning predatory species into herbivorous ones
IMO the predation debate is almost 100% about scientific, practical feasibility. If you could snap your fingers to make the world predation-free and yet with stable, diverse ecosystems you would have to be psychopathic not to do it.

We could set up paradise engineering stations in a grid pattern across the globe to optimize and then maintain optimal wild animal welfare.

Antipredationism is not new and can be found in art, literature, philosophy, and religion from ancient times to now (I saw this at a vintage shop the other day)

Herbivorization is common in nature: all land vertebrate herbivores evolved from carnivorous ancestors. Why not use tools of biotech to expand and accelerate that natural process?

If you don’t share the anti-predation view, what’s your strongest argument for keeping predation around?

We can be confident that being prey really sucks, so let’s abolish predation

There are some animals with few or no natural predators, like apex predators and large herbivores, and yet they don’t overpopulate, showing that predation is not the only factor keeping populations low.
