It’s day 21 of the #DramaJobChallenge and I need an office worker. Since J-dramas do salarymen like no others, I shall pick #10ThingsIWantToDoBeforeITurn40. It’s got the cuteness with a huge side order of pining of #CherryMagic and #OldFashionedCupcake, but with a touch of realistic angst too.

Pharmacists aren’t common in dramas - #OneSpringNight being the exception - so for #DramaJobChallenge day 18 I’m bending the rules to pick #TheApothecaryDiaries. Yes, it’s anime but it’s soooo good (imaginary Chinese historical palace setting; spiky apothecary Maomao meets suave eunuch Jinshi).

Tired but still hanging on here. Day 15 of #DramaJobChallenge. Film director. I immediately thought of #SunshineByMySide, since the FL is an advertising director (she also co-owns the filming company) and the ML is an artist/designer and aspiring film director.

I don’t much watch military dramas - and to me “soldier” is a modern role. Of the two I have watched, I’ll pass on the obvious K-drama #DescendantsOfTheSun and instead pick C-drama #YouAreMyHero because I enjoyed that more! It’s still a soldier and medic couple, though. 😁 #DramaJobChallenge day 13

Dancer is another slightly tricky one, but I’m picking Thai BL drama #ThamePo for day 11 of the #DramaJobsChallenge. It’s a drama about a 5-member Thai idol group, including dancer Nano. The drama itself is a mix of sweet and gentle romance along with a “trying to get the group back together” plot.

Surprisingly, given just how many modern C-dramas feature a business CEO character, almost everyone seems to have picked K-dramas for day 7 of the #DramaJobChallenge. I’m also going with one for my choice - #Encounter - which is both a great noona romance and a great escape-the-evil-overloads story.

It’s day 5 of the #DramaJobChallenge so I need an athlete. My mind immediately went to Im Siwan’s sprinter in K-drama #RunOn. It’s a grownup romance that’s also about finding out who you are and what that means, via a meeting of two worlds: pro sports and film translation. Love it!
