Each of these conflicts weave in and out, building off of each other in a myriad of ways. The group grows closers bonds through triumphs and struggles alike, shining as individuals which constantly add to Saras character as her past unraveled throughout the narrative. (3/4)

Sara is a book about conflict: an encroaching nazi threat, the overbearing, political presence the soviet motherland forces onto the main group of seven, and an internal one that the titular character suffers all throughout. (2/4)
