Which are unskippable, appear multiple times through rooms (even ones you’ve already cleared out) and the novelty really ran out by the end of only a 5 hour campaign. Overall, Deadly Silence is an interesting curio, and a contender for the best version of classic RE1, but stick to classic mode.

You have three hunters in a single hallway. Most of the new puzzles are superfluous and add nothing, like needing to spin a record at the right speed to summon Yawn (?) or physically blow out the candles in the eagle gem room. The worst part is these first-person knife touch screen minigames (cont.)

which adds new puzzles and mixes around some of the items. Most importantly, it also jacks up the amount of enemies and ammo by a ton, making for a combat-heavy experience. I was not feeling it. Combat is not classic RE’s high point, and you really feel the clunkiness of the lock-on when (cont.)
