I am so relieved to see Speech-language Therapy, AAC and AT, and neurodiversity highlighted so clearly.

We need data about these things to address the pressing gaps

Starting my day with an 815 am talk on ADHD is the least ADHD friendly-thing I have done this term, but also I love talking to teachers about my passion for getting inclusive education right, so it was worth it 🥳

Love that they are looking at this.

But also, making our schools neurodivergent competent. Offering enough resources to properly support learners who need specialists and/or smaller ratios. Oh and getting literacy right.

I was forced to wrap up this work year early. I have now fully regained my voice and am starting to feel more like myself again.

I have been spending a bit of time visiting a young person in the local in-patient pysch facilities. The space does not convey a sense of "you are worthy"

If you have ever asked, do they need their eyes checked - start also asking if there are any language challenge!
