My self-imposed one-synth challenge continues, this time with UAD Opal. This ended up as a lo-fi track with a slight horror theme. Also featuring voice talent from @zyrabisqueravo.bsky.social

Over the years I've accumulated a lot of synths and plugins and most of them have gone unused. I started to challenge myself to make music with them, using only one to make a track. This was made using Nils' K1v, a Kawai K1 emulation. It sounds something out of a PS1 JRPG to me.

Sometimes you stumble on something pretty decent in a practice session. I was working on sound design today and came up with this pad that gives some nice retro horror game feels.

First track WIP for the new year. This time I'm feeling house in the style of Soichi Terada.

Today I worked on finishing an old track that was lying around unfinished for a while now. I went for a PS1-style ambient/downtempo for this one.

Writing some chill jazz music for a project. It also fits the chill low light of my office space.

Here's a track I put out some time ago called "Lightwatching". I've been on a 90's jungle binge for a while and this track came out of that.

Today's patch in #vcvrack. Tinkering around and trying out modules like Polygene and Lark.

Working on sad feels today. And my track naming skills are still great as ever.

Noise is great for creating texture but it's also a powerful tool that can also be used to modulate or drive a clock signal etc. Everything in this drone is driven by noise or other random/chaotic modulation signals. It can help create lots of movement and life in your sounds.

My personal music-making tends to go in phases and this time I'm in a city pop-phase.
