Having struggled to find work in IT on many occasions since I turned 40 many years ago, I wouldn't hold out much hope of finding work in my 60s or 70s. I started my "working life" on the dole under Thatcher's mass unemployment regime in the 1980s. Probably wouldn't plan on ending it the same way.
