Adult specialist aren’t any better…. By the time I see my new dermatologist I will have waited 18 months for my initial appointment in February 2026. I have had an urgent referral into a G.I. specialist after endoscopy last August… I’m still waiting for an appointment and I have good insurance. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I think it likely was….. almost every dentist in the county dropped it at the same time.

And feet too!

Historically, simultaneously, most dentists dropped Delta Dental. So many did there was little that could be done. They claimed the reimbursements were no longer enough to sustain livable wages for their practices. Many will courtesy bill your insurance and you will be paying out of network prices.

They are offering some care, but won't perform a surgery until age 19 now.

It’s my understanding that Seattle children’s is also cutting some care because of similar reasons.

Does it have to do with Medicaid reimbursements?

Of 3.2 million people predicted to have VWD under 2% are actuallyseen at hemophilia treatment centers. Therefore, this 16 year statistic, while a great stride in learning more, is a highly biased sample and likely grossly underestimated.
