It helps with my productivity. So did learning how to do a pivot table. The guy who invented pivot tables didn't think he created God, or steal billions of copyrighted materials, or keep coal plants online to run data centers.
There are basically only two positions in the debate about AI.
1. I’ve barely invested any time in learning how to use it effectively. AI sucks.
2. I’ve invested in learning how to use this tool. Holy cow, it’s transformational.
Position #1 has lower barriers to entry.

The first time around the big media companies saw profit in at least making a show resistance. Now they don’t, maybe because they see the writing on the wall. But their collaboration with the fascist regime is a big reason the writing is on the wall in the first place.

The problem Ezra Klein is running up against is a pretty classic one. I agree with what he says here. The problem is, Charlie Kirk, no matter how much Ezra might wish it was otherwise, did not agree. No amount of Ezra believing this and people like me believing this could make Kirk believe it.
