And, well, it did do something. A clunky visor that used lights and binaural audio to send electrical signals to the brain, and once the brain was receptive enough, could use different signals to upload information to it straight from the humagear network. Awesome. VR on crack. Aruto hadn’t understood most of it, but he could test ride it.
There…was some sort of problem, maybe. Aruto couldn’t access the data that was being sent to him. Maybe.
There was definitely a problem. But Aruto didn’t care. He can’t care, because it feels better than anything Aruto’s ever felt in his life.
The electrical signals, or whatever technobabble they had spouted - it made Aruto’s brain go fuzzy, and then blank. Blissful, perfect blank, where Aruto can’t even think about how perfectly blank he’s gone. He can breathe, and blink (probably, his eyes weren’t burning. He doesn’t remember losing sight of the colors, though), and stay sitting up, but he can’t talk if not prompted to. Can’t hear anything if it isn’t an order - new information. He’s semi-aware of it, since he can remember the feeling, but the rest just feels so…smooth. Empty.
His whole body buzzes, like electric currents, and that’s when it starts feeling more than an ever-present, soft pleasure, but a coursing hum of something just on the verge of ecstasy. It’s only the way his whole body goes limp that’s stopped Aruto from fingering himself, audience be damned.
