I just read that @gameinformer.com is coming back to print and that makes me so happy. A cover story was always regarded an honor, and I remember seeing Battlefield 3 – a game I myself worked on – made me almost more excited than the actual release. Still keep the issue plastic wrapped. :)

I miss having a lot of fun websites to hang out on. Everything is just apps now and it feels like I barely need a browser anymore. Which makes it even more weird to read that Facebook is now dropping apps in favor of browser based services instead.

Oh great, an update to YouTube app on Apple TV. My immediate thought is that the app is gonna get even worse, and yep, the app got even worse.

Just noticed that Chrome, Firefox, Edge, all have no issues in auto-completing an IDN URL. But Safari fails on all platforms, unless you use the xn-- alternative.

Facebook have in their infinite wisdom decided to sunset the Messenger app. Like I'm gonna sit on Facebook.com just to chat with people, or use their buggy and unreliable Messenger.com website. Oh well, their loss.

The Sims 4 branding from 2019 now fits perfectly with 2025 glass none-flat design and feels very modern. And the 2025 redesign feels old. :)

Steam starting to require Mac OS 12+ because they bundle a Google Chrome that require 12+ annoys me. It annoys me when playing my game is dependent on a second software that is dependent on a third software. #appfairness

Compared to Twitter; it was surprisingly easy to forget about Reddit once third-party apps stopped working. Reddit used to be a large part of my social media usage, but now I barely visit once a month and then only for specific threads.

We’ve now had Apple CarPlay for 10 years, and there’s still not an option for Light Mode. Maps is unreadable in daylight on automatic dark mode. How have this not been picked up by @macrumors.bsky.social or @gruber.foo or any other Apple blogger? :)

It’s been almost three years since I put away my debit card, and maybe 15 since I last saw/used cash. Not every country is like Sweden, yet, but if you’re in the wallet industry I’d start thinking about an exit.

Looks like pretty much everything in the Apple Keynote was leaked beforehand. Long gone are the days when it was a tight ship. Feeling bad for all the people who worked hard on the things presented.

It’s fun to be grown up and have the luxury of buying All The Consoles. But damn, when moving to a new place, the amount of stuff is ridiculously… AWESOME

”Sing Street” was on TV last night and even it’s probably the fourth time, I can’t stop myself from watching the whole thing. Such a great movie and soundtrack.
