A good way to do this is also to get a few of your friends together and take over your local Democratic Party! This involves going to a lot of boring meetings but it's *very* possible to do in a lot of the country.

He scolded all of us for not understanding how the senate works because as he said none of us “have ever been allowed in that room”. Not his finest moment.

Yes, but technically only 5 dems rolled: 2 have been for this all along and 1 of the new rollers is an independent, not a dem.

You never heard of the tea party?
Dems had the white house, senate and house.
So the least moderate republicans, a minority within a minority party, went hard against their own party, primaried everybody, and they took over their party, moved it to the far right & won all subsequent elections.
