Ye, don’t know if any instance of a Wales specific emergency making use of emergency alerts.

I believe it’s happened in England

Yeah I've not seen much flood stuff on here either. Currently there are about 25 flood warnings and 36 flood alerts when I put Glos into check for flooding so would expect more

It’s crazy here. Lots of roads closed up here in the north and severe warnings in the south east

Ow, hope it calms down soon

They just have done someone about them since we visited. Personally didn’t find them too bad, but the MIL will always bring it up whenever we reminisce about the place!

Skye must worse though?!

Think that’s an area for IoT.

Sign up for “puddle watch” or “flooded road” - that’s not yet made it to the official Traffic Wales list of distributions.

Thought Abergaveny was a “smart town”? Should be a test bed for #PuddleWatch

We used to have a great Binfluencer on the street - you could just look at the window and see what week it was.

He’s no longer around, and no one has stepped up to this important role.

A radio programme like the Shipping Forecast but it’s called Bin Day and it just reads out every single council in the country’s bin schedule

Yes, exactly!

When it’s the “real bin” not recycling. Sometimes referred to as “bin Gwyrdd” (in this house!)

It’s officially “bin-bin” here tomorrow.

Is that a widely used term?!

Not a term on the Gwynedd webiste…

But they do offer a BSL overview of the service

Interesting… but would prefer not to have an app really. Just a simple SMS would work nicely.

Gwynedd have a great checker on their website- i check it every week. Works well.

But a simple text…. Is all i need… i think?
