cooking, gardening, history, and more. About 1/2way thru, she said "And then my husband would say to me, 'Helen, it's really okay if...'" and I said "Wait, is your name Helen?" and we had a moment about how rarely we meet anyone with our name. I hope I see her again at the symphony or on the bus.3/3

Books, the symphony and Looney Tunes, baseball (she and her late husband were huge Mariners fans; she travelled out east for Ichiro's induction into the Hall of Fame earlier this year), Climate Pledge Arena (odds are good I have seen her before since she worked on the level where our seats are) 2/3

The Worldcon programme is up, and as usual there is something wrong with it. The offending panel has already been removed, but what I want to talk about is how this has once again occasioned calls to drop the model where each Worldcon is run separately, and move to a centralized organizing body.
