Thanks so much for coming to my paper (and for these incredibly kind words—it means a lot)! Re: the dress of the slingers on the Ascoli Piceno relief, I remember reading sthg discussing it as influenced by representations of gladiators? Can try to track that down in my Zotero if of interest!
