Foreign Minister of Poland Radosław Sikorski:

"We think that if Putin succeeded in conquering Ukraine, we would be next.

You know, we will eat grass rather than become a Russian colony again," @radek-sikorski.bsky.social said.

This winter is decisive for the war.

The frontline is moving again. The fighting is intense and the death toll huge.

However, that doesn't threaten Ukraine as a state; its governability, economic viability, or livability.

Massive aerial assaults and undesirable events in the diplomatic arena do.

Delaying the decision on using frozen Russian assets is not without consequences.

Not supporting Ukraine properly allows the war to drag on.

With each passing election - with mini-Trumps and pocket-Putins gaining votes - the waning of support and returning of assets to Moscow becomes more likely.

Every six months, the EU has to vote unanimously on extending sanctions on Russia.

Failure to roll over the sanctions would also unfreeze the Russian assets.

Every six months, Orban blackmails the EU over this, and the EU gives into the blackmail by making concessions to Hungary.

The EU is failing the test on Hungary.

What are we going to do when Orban, Tr*mp, and Russia-backed AfD rises into power?

Bribe Germany to extend sanctions on Russia?

Russian propaganda state TV:

"The Kyiv dam must be destroyed. Kyiv must be flooded, Kharkiv annihilated. Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Sumy wiped from the face of the earth."

People ask Ukrainians why don't we "make peace" meaning surrender. This is why.

These influence operations were covert in the years leading up to Brexit.

2015-2020 feels like ancient history.
Just a South African/American oligarch trying to interfere in EU affairs without understanding anything about them.

He couldn’t care less about our processes or our representative democracy.

He just wants to weaken and divide us to gain more power over us

Pääkirjoitus | Jos ette usko, kerron IMF:lle!
