we hope that this paper can provide theoretical framework for others when exploring the ideal worker culture to see how such culture and changes in such cultures shape work outcomes. We did this for part-time preference where we see our cultural norms make a difference. (graph below for men)

The results shows that work devotion culture is slowly declining - masculinity at work on the other hand, is a bit slower to move. While, dual/plural devotion is rising quite a bit, as is degendering natures of work cultures across occupations. Also there seems to be some convergence

Firstly - unlike previous papers, we examine the ideal worker culture as a multidimensional item where it is on the one hand about whether we allow workers single (only to work!) or multiple devotions (work and private life) and whether work cultures are masculine or more de-gendered.

Such an interesting discussion around our new #geiindex @giwlkings.bsky.social and the key message here today is that equality is not a zero sum game. Investment in women will result in good outcomes for men. #notazerosumgame #genderequality

Are we see an end of the gender polarisation in the US? Recent Yougov/Econ poll has shown firstly the general decline of support for Trump in recent weeks (except gen Xs, WTF). Also this includes young men and women - the gap still exists but is getting smaller...? or do we need more data points?

Western Europe supports retaliatory tax rates against the US.
May this be the end of the US as the globe's super power?
Even in academia I've been hearing how people are not going to the US on conferences and may reduce submitting to US journals.

These cuts may save some money in the shorter term but are likely to cause larger issues in the longer term. Very disappointed in the way the labour government is moving in recent weeks. There's a real threat that people will leave to try to find other parties to represent them

Someone explain this to me like I'm 5. What is the deal with Tesla stock dropping - as it looks like it has gained 50% since this time last year. YES it dropped since 1 Jan but only because it went up massively just before that period during election/election outcome just before inauguration.

Has anyone else noticed the twitterfication of linked in? I feel like because people esp from the progressive side left X the right wing have to resort to platforms such as Linkedin to attack. Despite the fact that you have your name and CV on there.... post below a CEO talks about the deep state 🙈

Another sign of gender polarisation of voting behaviours among young men and women. This time Germany. 27% of young men 18-24 voted AFD while only 14% of young women have. The latter voted largely for left progressive parties. If you break this down to east men vs west women the gap will be larger.
February 24, 2025 at 2:11 PM
#GermanElection Results show yet again it is the working class men in the East that supported #AFD the right wing populist party. In general (young) people are moving away from the main parties but women to the left men to the right. I need age×gender break down! www.zdf.de/nachrichten/...
