Bush had key appointments (Powell and Rice) who were African American. He was behind the creation of PEPFAR, which saved millions of lives of people of color. Yes, he did immense damage to our nation and the world, but he was not motivated by racist contempt of the "other".

They were like this all along, waiting for a leader that would support their darkest views. Under prior administrations, they kept silent because such views were unacceptable. For all the criticism that Bush 43 merits, he was not a racist. But now they are free to spread their evil.

Democracy cannot survive the current 6 Republicans on the Court. While Gorsuch is fine when it comes to native American rights, he, along with the other 5, should be impeached and removed. Every one is a disgrace to our Constitution. They are the reason that Trump is free to destroy our nation.

The VP selection seldom has any effect on the outcome of the election. Having Bernie as her VP would not have protected her from the baseless MSM attacks nor James Comey's efforts to damage her.

Have never been a Bernie fan, but he's always been dynamic. No one would challenge his cognitive skills or his physical stamina or his ability to handle the Presidency, even at this point.

It would require a Constitutional amendment to place limits on the Presidential pardon power for federal offenses. So as long as Trump is President, we should expect this continuing disgrace of the office.

The only staff who should be placed on administrative leave are any who believe this student deserved a grade higher than 0. Perhaps the student should be encouraged to switch schools or to switch majors to something that doesn't require any scientific skill or ability to produce an academic paper.

The question: is Hegseth merely following Trump's orders or are these measures he is implementing on his own? In any case, no one will take us seriously again, given how easy it was to return the worst President to power, a liar with not a single real accomplishment or virtue.

She definitely deserves the 0 she was given. Maybe she would be happier if she transferred to a school that supports creationism over science, mythology over facts.

McConnell's sins date back to the Obama administration. He prevented Obama from appointing Garland to SCOTUS and other judges to the federal bench. He also refused to support the bipartisan effort to criticize Russian interference in the 2016 election. He has done his all to damage our nation.

Let's not forget that the world population was only 1.8 billion in 1918 -- so less than a quarter of what it was during COVID. So H1N1 was even more lethal than the absolute numbers suggest.

Comey is the one who gave us this nightmare. May he never have a moment of peace for the rest of his life. It is especially ironic that Trump is going after Comey; without him, Hillary would have been President and the world would be a far better place.

The NY Times hated her and did everything in its power to demonize her; and then Comey finished the job -- both in vilifying her in the summer when he decided not to prosecute her and then again when he violated DOJ policy 11 days before the election to attack her once again.

Being sincere, honest, and devoted to your job doesn't guarantee success. We will have to see how Mamdani performs when confronted with the complexities of real world problems in a large city like New York. I am rooting for him; it would be great if he can hire an experienced staff.
