There seem to be a lot of warnings about how contagious measles is, but very little about how dangerous it is. It can cause brain damage, pneumonia, and death. 1 out of 5 people who get it are hospitalized. Anyone who hosts a "measles party" should be arrested for endangering children.

When I was 9, my youngest sister was born on this date. She was almost a month late and weighed over 10lbs. My mom insisted on a fully natural birth. She was adorable and my other sister and I loved her so much. She died in 2022 from a fentanyl overdose.
