@heacit.bsky.social
The High-Energy Astrophysics Code, Interfaces and Tools (HEACIT) working group. We collaborate to identify how the landscape of astrophysical software enables or can improve the impact of high energy astrophysical data. https://heacit.github.io
More about our working group can be found on our website on Github: heacit.github.io We will try to regularly post here about interesting developments in our field regarding software and data analysis.

We also like to reach out to the users of high-energy astrophysics software and develop best practices for data analysis. On our OpenAstronomy forum, you can discuss and ask things related to data analysis and software. community.openastronomy.org/c/heacit/20

We have representatives from (among others) XSPEC, HEASOFT, SPEX, SAS, Sherpa, SIXTE and ISIS. We are also open to contributions from the hard X-ray and gamma-ray astronomy community.

One of the aspects that we discuss is improving the software interfaces of our packages such that it becomes easier to use different packages together. This also relates to creating interfaces to the atomic databases our codes use.
