People have a very visceral reaction to being told they were wrong. Telling someone they're wrong closes communication it doesn't open it. Calling someone in is about finding a way to invite them in. It's about opening communication.

It's really interesting how many people are having a visceral reaction to this. When I was in my early 20s my coworker said something that stuck with me sometimes you have to ask yourself if your goal is to be right or to be effective.
