Been having some wonderful and really engaging discussions with many of the #ICMPC18 attendees this year in São Paulo!

How transparent is music psychology as a discipline? Unfortunately not yet near acceptable levels in making data (5%), analysis scripts (1%) available, nor committing to preregistration (0%) or replications (3%). Benchmarked to psychology in graph. Considering they only had 4 weeks to build the study, collect the data, analyse it, & create a presentation, they did well to #replicate these. Studies that offered stimuli & materials openly (J T Mantell, @hazelvanderwalle.bsky.social
