I shot the video while on holiday in California, on the San Mateo coastline that I used to call home. Huge thanks to Jeff Parry and the staff at Pigeon Point Lighthouse. I also paid visits to several friends who still live there, which was joyously reminiscent. 4/5 youtu.be/rlbIbGtwKic?...

This track has bigger arrangements but I've kept my DIY approach. My Telecaster is set to “melted in the sun” in a nod to Swervedriver and Mazzy Star, but there's a hidden Frank Ocean kick. Ian Flynn always knows what to do in the recording & mixing, and Mark Gardener's mastering is meticulous. 3/5

"Something Positive" shifts into spooky psych shoegaze territory: heavy layered guitars and chanted vocals. The song grew from a sliding riff, written originally as a bassline. “I’ve been gigging and playing pitch shifted guitar; I enjoy the weight that working down the scale adds." 2/5
