Nightbird has a lot of what SHE terms "business associates." She respects them and works with them and doesn't really share anything personal. That's not just her various teams for the Ishgardian Conservatory project either, that's most of her adventurer peers.

Berylla always feels awkward if she's being cared for - mortified if she's sick, and frustrated if she's injured. Her friends and husbands just about have to bully her to get her to be still and allow them to help her!
Nightbird is just as stubborn - but she's better at hiding illness and hurt.

Of course you're not selfish or conceited for seeking validation on your creations. You can write, draw, or whatever, for yourself, have a blast, and still want someone to go "hell yeah, bro." Surprisingly simple for Berylla. She just never talks about it. If someone were to ASK her - she'd probably get a far look for a moment, then reply "I'd rather not talk about it." In part to keep the secrets. In part because all she really REMEMBERS now is the twins weeping.
