Now my wife is getting a letter from one of the insurance companies she’s dumping telling her that she and other providers should be prepared for a rate DECREASE next year. Jack the rates up for patients, squeeze the providers even more. LOL you couldn’t make this hellscape shit up.

If condescending smugness equated to intelligence he’d be a genius but he was never a fraction as smart as he thought he was. For someone so opinionated I always found him to be very incurious

As a huge music fan, I think you do have to concede that a legion of artists from all genres has been accurately calling out “the man” since before we were born.

I’ve told this story before but it may help someone so I will tell it again…
With my former insurance co. they denied me an MRI for months (“have you tried exploratory surgery first?”- not kidding” then relented. But my “copay” was quoted at $1400. The provider’s cash rate was $800.

And when you are paying towards your deductible or paying a percentage of the bill, you are probably paying an average of twice what the insurance company was billed.

She’s exited other insurance contracts only for people to tell her she’s still listed in that company’s network.
They keep former providers on to pad their network. Which is why you see hundreds of doctors but still can’t make an appointment that isn’t months out.
