Here are the photographs I used to illustrate my latest poem. First the desaturated photographs, and then the same images with their natural lighting. They were taken in the town of Runcorn, looking over the River Mersey.

Poem "Your Touch": You gotta adjust. One twist, gonna bust. This and that are not related. I know it's something you hated. Irritation got you grated. Don't need to be so fixated. Empty plea, rejection baited. Just me — feeling so deflated. So sorry — got be prostrated. As you get much more frustrated. Don't you get my thrust? Denied, so unjust. Count to three to be berated. Shouldn't make you aggravated. It's hard being insulated. My queen keeps me subjugated. Once said — gets disseminated. Spreads dread — heart beat syncopated. Clock cleaned — left me so sedated. You fiend — I feel strangulated. Feeling so nonplussed. Ears burn like you cussed. Soul seen through face fenestrated. Heart gleaned from words understated. Shredded — mercy mediated. Thanked godhead — feel liberated. Crisis skirted — intonated. You smiled — sunshine radiated. Your beauty was venerated. One more hotbed — orchestrated. In you, I entrust — Life came from stardust. Can't you see how long I waited? Want to be perfectly sated. Left me feeling just elated. My love can't be overstated. Intentions were demonstrated Trust and comfort cultivated. Hot desires are consummated. Bodies left adulterated. Hands touch as needs must. Hearts rust, wet with lust. Our bodies get calibrated. This hot mess that we created. My sticky bomb detonated. Didn't mean to get X-rated. You want me so dominated. I'm left feeling flagellated. Sharp nails leave me lacerated. While our sweat is sublimated. Emotions robust. I'm forever lost — In your touch.
