I've just concluded today that the bug my school age child (Y10), then I, have caught is the latest variant of covid - starting with a killer sore throat. It's the most poorly I've been in a long time (with full vaccination since private vaccination became possible)

We had some today - it was lovely. I was working though, so didn't get out in it.

They say on the show that in the event of a tie the public vote is given priority.

However, the judges' votes and public votes are not given equal ranking. Instead, when the votes are tied, the public vote gets priority - meaning no-one in safe (the dance off therefore allows the judges to save the better couple).

I think it's the way the voting works with the public vote getting priority. If the public reverse the judges ranking. Then the public's bottom 2 (which could be the judges top 2) end up in the dance off. That's actually quite likely if the public are voting to save a favourite.

In fairness, they don't look like they are of Compulsory School Age (which is start of term after 5th birthday). So may well not be in school or a pre-school.

It was Joe Brown's ukulele album that tipped me over the edge to buying one (sadly I hadn't found your site at that stage - my second purchase was better). Also Taylor Swift (youngest is a fan).

Hi, I think I follow you on Insta - so it's lovely to see you here. I'm following a "Spinning and fibre prep" feed which seems to be catching lots of spinners :-)

You can join singles as you ply (so you don't need a whole skein's worth of each single in a single length). You will need a larger spindle for plying, but you may still struggle to get the amount you're aiming for on a spindle. Even on a wheel it can be tricky on a standard bobbin to fit 4oz.
