The electrical pulses flash-cook baked-on sand to create a glassy armour, which throws off shrapnel when damaged. The Blackguard Banditaur's carapace and obsidian alike are coveted for weapon & armour crafting.
It pierces prey by spitting a long spiked filament, which can deliver electrical pulses.
