My state of Virginia has two Democratic U.S. Senators, Mark Warner and Tim Kaine. I can imagine Tim Kaine putting himself in a situation where he would be manhandled and perhaps arrested by ICE agents. I cannot imagine that Mark Warner would do so.

It’s become an article of faith that Barrack Obama’s jokes directed at Trump at the White House Correspondents in 2011 motivated him to run for president. I wouldn’t go that far; he’d been talking about it for years. But, it definitely humiliated and enraged him. And maybe it was a final nudge.
