The DOE funding for the Connected Communities research grant I've been working on for the past 3 yrs has been canceled. There were a number (5?) of other grantees in the program that i would imagine have been affected as well. We were well into deployment and have just engaged a new community.

Can anyone explain to me why they're isn't more examination in the media about the ethics of trumps to to Scotland? It seems to me that it was solely for the purpose of promoting his business. The ribbon cutting seemed particularly egregious use of taxpayer dollars for purely self enrichment.

#energysky Has anyone heard of an effort to set up a cooperative that will do appliance retrofits to install "smart" i.e. managed appliances such as HVAC, refrigerator, laundry, etc. I'm looking for alternatives that would enable a large scale retrofit that could support VPPs at low/no entry cost.
