Ruby Central announced the next RubyConf in a YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vkbRlYCJY0) but it just doesn't hit the same as their paragraphs of obfuscated PR-speak, so as a courtesy to the community I have provided a translation.
Thank you for staying engaged as we move together. RubyCentral is committed to its stewardship of the community. For this week's newsletter, we're sharing an announcement regarding community events, which is one of the areas we consider to be critical to the health of the Ruby community, both from a technical and interpersonal perspective. There have been a number of questions shared from the community about such events, including whether we would be hosting them again, and in what capacity. We have decided to move forward with a national-level event centered on Ruby. This event will be held in a major city in the US at a conference-style venue. In regards to the timing, the dates have been set and the event will be held during the summer. Moving forward, we are committed to full transparency regarding events. Building trust with the community means having regular, transparent releases of information on a reliable cadence. We acknowledge that this transparent style of communication has gaps in completeness, and we are committed to solving these problems out in the open with the Ruby community. If there are any questions, we encourage sharing them using [this link]. Ruby Central's role is to protect the infrastructure that powers the Ruby ecosystem. We aim to rebuild trust with the community by acting transparently, strengthening governance, and inviting collaboration. Thank you.

Was biking Saturday and stopped at Wu-Rons, which I'm pretty sure has the best ramen in town.
A seat at a cozy little ramen shop under a bridge. There's a bowl of tonkotsu ramen. You can see corn, scallions, a soft boiled egg, and plenty of pork belly on the surface. Next to it is a Diet Coke and a glass of ice water. It's appetizing.

Been traveling west on I-80 back home and when I saw I slept in till 9:35 this morning I bolted out of bed to run to Hardee’s to get breakfast biscuits while they’re still serving them.

This is my last possible stop on I-80 to get them.
