the only reason to leave Bayern is that there's better weather in Barcelona.

otherwise, he's got an incredible life that he's almost certainly not throwing away for Manchester or London.
🚨 Bayern honorary president Hoeneß: “Kane has a release clause until the end of January. We assume that he will definitely fulfill his contract until 2027”. “And if it were up to us - and I've heard he wants it too - he will extend. His family feels comfortable”, told BILD.

"Nobody is allowed to be a diva...

...except me"

Thomas Tuchel, maybe.
🚨⚠️ Thomas Tuchel: “I saw that Jude Bellingham was not happy when he came off. I don't want to make more out of it, but I stick to my words, behavior is key and respect towards the team-mates who come in”. “Decisions are made and you have to accept it as a player”.

There is nothing in life quite like football.

Troy Parrott - take a bow son.

What an incredible game of football.

Maybe it's just me, but I thought 'Celebrity Traitors' was pretty poor and was only somewhat redeemed by the ending.

These people might be famous for the things they have chosen to do, but I wouldn't trust many of them to tie their own shoelaces.

Absolutely clueless.

does feel like that, doesn't it?

I've actually bought the DVD twice.

but I still haven't seen The Shawshank Redemption.
Inspired by a post I just saw in which someone admitted they hadn’t seen a single episode of Friends nor the film Love Actually… what cultural hole do you have that’s a bit weird for your generation?

I’ll go first: I haven’t seen Dirty Dancing.

Suits me.

He has always needed a defensive presence next to him, and now we have one in Palhinha we're seeing him play similarly to how he did with Hojbjerg.

As a huge fan of Ange Postecoglou, let me be the first to start the following campaign now that he's become manager of Nottingham Forest.

Bring Brennan Back.

A simple swap between him and Morgan Gibbs-White and it'll happen.

I don't even really blame him.

But you have to recognise that it's happened too many times to be a coincidence.

It's who we are, mate.

you stay at Palace until Arsenal have the money needed.
The race is on. You're Eberechi Eze Spurs are making an offer right now. Arsenal expressed interest. What do you do⁇Arsenal or Tottenham?
Eberechi Eze is emerging as a player of serious interest to Tottenham. Arsenal have an interest in Eze, but the club are currently looking to move players on. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham’s interest in Eze results in Arsenal accelerating a move. (Sami Mokbel)

The first of two games in a row!

Bayern are getting rid because Kompany hasn't figured out that even though they don't need Joao Palhinha to win the Bundesliga, he would probably come in very handy if they actually wanted to try and win the Champions League.

Spurs aren't as good as Bayern, and we therefore need him much more.
This move would make no sense to me at all.

Spurs are in need of a technical, creative no.6.

Palhinha is really just a ball-winner (an extremely good one).

That's why Bayern are getting rid, having hardly played him.

Baffling.

I leave for Frankfurt this evening.

Despite everything, I'm still excited to go.

In my 46 years, this is just the 9th time that Spurs have played a European Quarter Final.

These games don't come around very often. We have to enjoy them.

Though British, I'm a teacher in Austria. On April 27, Vienna will elect its local Government. The FPÖ is the Austrian equivalent of Reform.

My colleague just said to me, "I don't understand why so many kids want to vote FPÖ!"

And that is exactly why many people will vote for them.

wrong.

the painful part is seeing that lots of people are still surprised at what is happening.

this has been forty-five years in the making (if not more).
The dumbest people are destroying us.

That makes it even more painful.

at last someone acknowledges the huge transfer spend Spurs have had post Covid.

people think Spurs don't spend, on fees or wages.

the truth is that Spurs spend more than most on both.
Much more detail in today's Tottenham blog, including the importance of European qualification, "non-football revenue operations", substantial transfer spend (yes, really), high debt/interest payments, large transfer debt, but massive PSR headroom #THFC
