I’m a designer and engineer working in tech development. My passions are photography, videography and motorcycles…like so many, my angst stems from the current maelstrom in global politics with its negative effects on powerless people and the environment.
I agree it’s ambiguous, it’s a pity those economists who can explain the position will be dismissed by many for presenting an explanation that’s too convoluted

Who really cares about this…apart from those trying to gain some political capital from it…

Indeed, but if the experience of the US media(Fox notwithstanding)is anything to go by, they might ultimately have to bend the knee themselves, just like the rest of us. Brexit was just the warmup act in the UK…the fascists are on the rise.

Why isn’t he getting the bum’s rush in the UK? We need the right leaning press to wake up to the threat rather than amplifying it…

Trump lite…. The British media have already given him far too much air time….always peddling sensationalism rarely reflecting on the consequences.

Ok, so Farage? Badenoch?….get real.

Hooray
August 26, 2025 at 8:25 PM
Stop giving him precious airtime….we’re tired of his divisive rhetoric.
August 26, 2025 at 10:05 AM
Why on earth is this dangerous bigot given so much airtime?
August 26, 2025 at 10:02 AM
So, an unmitigated disaster…par for the course. Everything DT touches turns to ashes…

Yes, I can imagine, but then reality kicks in. In the UK at least, politicians seeking to bring about a fairer distribution of wealth become mired in the country’s low productivity/low tax take/hands off the entrepreneurial class conundrum and succumb instead to policies that tread economic water..

If only this was possible 🫤

And what’s wrong with that? Politics is an incremental process, it never responds well to a ‘move fast and break things’ approach, as we’ve seen throughout history.

Wes Streeting is doing a good job…

Get lost..
July 30, 2025 at 4:56 PM
I could ask you the same question….
July 30, 2025 at 4:31 PM
What a ridiculous post…
July 30, 2025 at 10:01 AM
Starve him of the oxygen of publicity….
July 30, 2025 at 9:58 AM
What on earth are you talking about…
July 30, 2025 at 9:55 AM
So anarchy then?…
July 30, 2025 at 9:54 AM
I agree, Starmer walks a tightrope day after day trying to avoid friendly as well as hostile fire…he’s clearly very cautious, but I’d rather have this then a gung ho chancer….
July 30, 2025 at 9:52 AM
Kier Starmer..dancing on the head of a pin again. His analysis is flawed and his response is incomprehensible.
Sitting on the fence is no longer a comfortable position so he’s busily installing cushions…
